Suburbia – Adventures in Slide Flim

Did you miss my Thursday Things post yesterday? Frankly things caught up with me a bit and I was feeling super tired so I gave myself the day off blogging. I’m back today with some pictures I took on an ancient compact film camera that used to belong to my parents.

They dug it out of the loft for me and we found it in perfect working order, complete with batteries that had been in there since circa 1990. This camera is no frills. You point and shoot and hope for the best. It’s most nifty feature is a natty little string that means you can hand it around your neck.

So, what did I do? I put a very expensive slide film in it and took it to a BBQ in the Suburbs. I love the colours and light you capture when working with slide film. I would like sunglasses (or contacts – If I had glasses I’d only lose them) that make the world look like this always.
