Spring Spains Hall Wedding with Kate and Pete
One of the things that struck me when I was editing Kate and Pete’s pretty Spring Spains Hall wedding was that Kate must be one of the smiliest brides I’ve every photographed. She really didn’t stop smiling all day.
She’s also pretty hardcore. She broke her foot before the wedding and her DR told her she’d need to wear a special shoe but she refused, squeezed her broken foot into sky high (and beautiful I might add) heels and you wouldn’t have known there was a thing wrong with her.
As with most of my April weddings the weather was against us but it really didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and I quite like the moody sky in some of the pictures. I also absolutely loved that Kate had a fuller dress and Pete looked handsome in his suit with the especially lovely touch of a pocket watch that belonged to his grandmother. Their vintage tea party theme was also really, really pretty and a lot of thought went into it, with Kate sourcing all of the teapots herself.
And finally I can’t blog this wedding without giving a special mention to Rich, the best man, whose epic speech went on for nearly half an hour. It was a good job it was funny!
Congratulations, Kate and Pete. It was such a pleasure to photograph your wedding for you.
A huge thanks to Caro Hutchings for photographing the day with me.
