Carly and Elio’s Portsmouth Cathedral and Farbridge wedding

On the last wedding I blogged, I wrote that sometimes I love a wedding because of the back story.

A wedding is a time to celebrate and to be grateful that you’ve overcome the obstacles that life has put in your way; you’ve made it to the one day where nothing else matters except the knowledge that you’ve come this far and that you’ll both do what ever you need to, to keep moving forwards.

This blog isn’t an appropriate place to share Carly and Elio’s story but I am so happy to be able to share their wedding photographs with you. They came a long way to get to this point and their wedding was one of the most wonderful and, at times, emotional celebrations I have had the honour to be involved with.

It was also beautifully styled by Carly with touches of an elegant, French theme, a sweety and desert bar and also a georgous juice bar.

Their ceremony was held against the imposing backdrop of Portsmouth Catholic Cathedral and then they had a relaxed reception at Farbridge, a farm venue that forms part of the West Dean estate.

I absolutly adored Carly’s stunning gown by the hugely talented Joanne Fleming and of course every bride needs a pair of Laboutins, with a change into her Westwood/Melissa shoes for the evening, while her handsome groom rocks a pair of Alexander McQueen slippers. Too cool.

Congratulations Carly and Elio. You deserve every happiness. It was a pleasure to be your wedding photographer.
